Jessica Biel’s Wedding Dress

By now, you’ve probably seen the behind-the-scene images from Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel’s October 19th Italian wedding in People Magazine. I was surprised they sold their photos, but happy they decided to do so, because Jessica’s Giambattista Valli Haute Couture gown was drop dead gorgeous! Custom designed for the bride it featured a light floral motif and once again reinforces the trend of the colored white wedding dress.

What I love about her gown is it retains the ethereal and romantic femininity of your traditional bridal fashions, while being a very non-traditional selection. What do you think? Does Jessica’s dress inspire you to try a colored wedding dress or will you honor tradition?

Totally loving the painted pumpkin trend going on right now and not just for Halloween. Try taking them to the next level with embellishments! These studded beauties are from Small Shop and you can get the tutorial right here.

Refinery29.com, one of my favorite resources for… well… everything, shared 3 creepy looking, but yummy tasting drinks to get guests in the spirit. Who doesn’t love a smokin’ beverage? Get the cocktail how-to here.

Spooky vintage labels are a great way to embellish drink vessels or party favors. These were found at Songbird Greetings Etsy shop, where you can find many more Halloween inspired paper goods for your soiree.

Tissue garland is a great way to add extra flair to your party decor. You can make them yourself or save on time and buy them from the one pictured from cute Etsy shop, Carmelos.  To craft them at home, I like this D.I.Y. tutorial featured on GreenWeddingShoes.com.

Came across these adorable spider place cards or sign holders on The Sweetest Occasion and just had to share! Find out how to make these little critters, here.

Fave 5: Romantic Movies

This was no easy task. There are so many amazing romantic movies to chose from. So I based my list on the one I turn to time and time again for that heart-string pulling, tear jerking, love conquers all feeling.

Titanic and The Notebook are some pretty obvious classics, but you may wonder why I chose the next three. Well, Breakfast at Tiffany’s was completely taboo for it’s time. Just when you think they have no chance at love, the story takes a turn… and I’m left in happy tears every time! That brings us to cult classic Princess Bride. Yes, it’s a romantic comedy, but I find so much inspiration in this classic Princess story. And they live happily every after, or do they? And lastly, Pretty Woman. I was considering Romeo and Juliet with Leonardo DiCaprio or even Say Anything starring John Cusack (The boombox scene is priceless). But while getting a blow out at Dry Bar, Pretty Woman was playing and I was completely sucked in. I found myself tearing up in public, and I just couldn’t resist including the movie in this list.

Now I know you must have your own favorites, so let’s keep this list going. Share your top romantic movies in the comments below. Common, don’t be shy!

Bridal Market Fall 2013 Runway Round-up

Prepare your eyes for the beauty that was unveiled at this year’s NYC Bridal Market Fall 2013 runway shows. Thanks to Instagram, I felt like I had a front row seat despite being in San Francisco.

Photos from the runways of top designers like Monique Lhuillier, Reem Acra and Claire Pettibone rendered me speechless. Here are some of my favorite gowns from the shows. For me, Reem Acra took home the gold with Claire Pettibone in close second. Which is your favorite?
