I’ve been a fan of this for a while. Whether it be a pomegranate, artichoke, lemon – you name it – I love the unexpected use of fruits and vegetables in wedding and event decor. They look beautiful mixed into centerpieces and bouquets. They can even make great alternatives to props or paper goods. for example, try using an apple as your place card.
Admittedly, I’m heavily inspired by fashion, and this post is no different. Oxblood is the it color of the Fall 2012/Winter 2013 season, and I just love the deeply romantic and sultry color for a wedding palette. Adding bohemian and peachy details, as incorporated in this inspiration board, softens the hue for the perfect balance of femininity. Will you be using deep, bold hues in your wedding palette this Fall/Winter?
Not entirely comfortable wearing the bold lip color pictured below? Try oxblood colored nail polish instead!
My grandmother gave me a vintage choker necklace encrusted in rhinestones that I wore as a hair accessory on my wedding day. I was happy to see statement headpieces on the Fall 2012 runways, and I hope more brides will choose to wear them. They are simply stunning!
