When Catherine and Dave approached me to be their wedding coordinator, I felt honored. Catherine has been a close friend of my mom’s since we had moved to Kenwood when I was just 5 years old. Her daughter was a year younger than I in school, and we use to play dress up together. Needless to say, this wedding certainly felt like a family affair.
Several years ago, Catherine decided to get out of Kenwood for a bit. On her adventures, she met Dave and fell in love. Dave popped the question and she said yes in 2002. During their engagement, they moved back to Kenwood together and built their dream house, all along planning to be married there when construction was done. And, on a beautiful day in September of 2012, they said “I do” at their home.
Friends traveled from all over the world to see the two say their vows. It was an evening full of love, joy, good wine (from the bride and groom’s own winery, White Oak Vineyards) and a damn good party!
4. Fulfilled my goal to focus on providing more wedding design services, which lead to some inspiring work with some amazing clients and vendors.
5. And last, but certainly not least, gave birth to my beautiful baby boy, Beau who just turned 5 months old this week. He is definitely my biggest accomplishment of 2013, but I am also very proud to have successfully executed a wedding just 6 short weeks after his birth.
2014 is already shaping up to be another great year. My goals for this year focus on growth and balance, which will be no easy feat. The business is growing and with it will come new opportunities and challenges.
I already have several great clients booked for the 2014 wedding season, but there are still some openings left! So please don’t hesitate to contact me for your 2014 wedding.
