Pottery Barn’s wedding blog launch party

Pottery Barn recently launched their new wedding blog, Have and Hold, providing inspiration for your big day and every day after. And since registering can be such a daunting task, they break it down with tips on how to choose and use your registry items.

To kick off their blog with a bang, Pottery Barn held a launch party at Blu Bungalow last week. And Kaella Lynn Events got to join the fun! I was among 5 designers to design a tablescape using Pottery Barn merchandise. We were all assigned a theme and mine was Classic Traditional. Below are some photos of the table design with flowers by Huckleberry Karen Designs. Images are by Milou and Olin Photography.

It was a packed house. At one point there was a line out the door! Pottery Barn held a raffle for several prizes and couples got to see different ways to put their registry items to use depending on their style. You can shop the look from my table here and see more table designs and behind the scenes shots from the event here.

KLE Wedding: Courtney and Ryan at Cornerstone Gardens, Sonoma

Courtney and Ryan were high school sweethearts planning their wedding all the way from England. Ryan, who is in the airforce, is stationed there and Courtney, being the supportive partner she is, moved there with him to attend school. They came to me with their venue and caterer, but needed a couple more referrals and help narrowing down the design. Her top 3 themes were Autumn, airplanes (a tribute to Ryan) and DIY. She really wanted to craft many of the details herself, but wasn’t quite sure where to start or how to execute, which is where I came in. I developed a travel themed design and provided several DIY ideas for her to choose from. Many skype calls later, she and Ryan were at Cornerstone getting married on a perfect Fall day in November.
