Inspiration: Timeless Bridal Beauty Looks

“Trends come and go, but wedding photos are forever.”

Bridal beauty trends are always new and “what’s hot right now” – but what about those beauty styles that never go out of fashion? There’s a fine line to walk between being true to trying new things and looking ‘now’, and keeping things natural to look timeless and beautiful on your special day. Above all else, the most important commandment of wedding day beauty? Stay true to yourself, and your own personal style — and everything else will fall into place. We’ve rounded up a series of classic bridal beauty looks to inspire you below, using a series of key ingredients: romantic eyes, classic winged liner, and a natural or berry-hued lip.

Wedding Dessert Bars

There are hundreds of tiny details to be taken into consideration when planning your wedding – all adding up to provide your guests with a very specific and wonderful wedding experience. Nowhere is this attention more appreciated than when it come to what you feed your them – specifically, dessert! When the wedding meal has been finished and the plates have been cleared, the dessert you serve will take center stage, and its important to make sure that you’re onboard with the sweets you’re serving as well!

Not a cake person? Hate frosting? Never fear! You don’t need to serve wedding cake, just because your parents or their parents did. Pies, Donuts, snow cones, frozen yogurt trucks, and vintage desserts have all been making a major re-appearance on the wedding scene over the last few years, and traditional wedding cake has taken a step back. No longer are you limited to three tiers or five; fondant or buttercream; custard or raspberry. These days, tailoring your wedding desserts to your taste, and that of your guests, is commonplace – and we think that’s just dandy.

Bakers like Jill Kull of Delish Designs in San Francisco, or Melody Brandon of My Sweet and Saucy in Long Beach, are shaking things up with freshly baked desserts (think Twinkies, blondies, pie pops, Whoopie Pies, and even mini cupcakes) and delivering a full service dessert bar to delight your guests during your reception. Delish Designs also provides styling, and will curate a backdrop and tablescape to match your event – providing a seamless transition between dinner and dessert, and whole lot of treat options for your guests to enjoy. Feast your eyes on some of our favorite wedding desserts below, and let us know what your favorites are!
