Michelle and Diego’s bright Spring wedding is featured on Style Me Pretty today! These two met through mutual friends on a Tahoe Trip, but it was Diego’s connection with Michelle’s German Shepard that caught her eye. Diego was born in Bariloche, Argentina. He came to the States when he was 7 years old with his immediate family. They were only going to be here for a few years but ended up staying. Michelle was born in San Francisco and raised in Mill Valley. They love being outdoors, whether hiking, snowboard or traveling and they are big sports fan, especially the Giants. We wanted to create a Spring garden inspired formal affair that reflected their story and personalities, so we focused on bright, happy colors and personal details, such as terra cotta and blind embossed pattern to represent Diego’s heritage, as well as representing their love of sports by using the numbers of their favorite athletes as the table numbers. To truly execute the garden-inspired theme, flowers were everywhere, and I mean everywhere, from mantles to ponds. We are delighted to announce our beloved clients, Alice and Matthias’ ethereal wine country wedding has been published on Style Me Pretty today! Alice and Matthias share a love for traveling and eating the best food this world has to offer. For their wedding, many guests had traveled from as far as Germany and China, so it was especially important that I created a night both they and their guests would cherish. The couple chose Gundlach Bundschu right away for its German roots, great wine, and beautiful setting. After getting to know the couple’s appreciation for clean lines and light, neutral colors, I created concepts that added some textured and natural accents to keep the design cohesive with the winery. We incorporated shade for the hot Summer day, but also kept the feel open and airy to achieve the ethereal vibe befitted the desired aesthetic. We invite you to be married, celebrate your union, and support civil and equal rights in the process. This is a completely not for profit offering. Read on for details!

Excited to share this wedding with you all! Featured today on Carats & Cake is Erin and Tony’s Urban Garden inspired wedding shot by Melanie Deurkopp. Here is their love story:
A girl walks into a bar… That is exactly how this story begins. After a professional dancing career in NYC, Erin moved to SF where her sister was living. Soon after she walked into the bar where Tony was bartending. Just one date later and the two were inseparable. Erin and Tony both come from tight-knit families, so it is no surprise that their biggest priority was that their wedding feel intimate and welcoming. A ceremony at the Swedenborgian Church and reception at the eclectic Firehouse 8 created the perfect settings to create this intimate affair and highlighted San Francisco, the place they both consider home. Flowers were another important element in setting the tone for their wedding. Our goal was to create a secret garden feel amidst the urban setting. La Fleuriste grouped potted herbs, daffodils, crimson and peach blooms and lush greens flowing from cement urns to create an organic, garden ambience. Copper accents, detailed chargers and long sequin gowns set the tone for a formal event, while farm tables and bistro chairs created a relaxed setting to make sure the ambience was still warm and inviting. The result was exactly what Erin and Tony had hoped – a wedding that felt authentic to both of them, warm and inviting with lots of dancing! And for the perfect ending to their wedding celebration, the couple hosted an after party at Aventine, the very bar where they first met.

This wedding wouldn’t be what is was without the amazing vendors who worked against the odds to make this day perfect for Kate and Brian. Scroll below to see the list of rock star vendors who made it happen.
Brian is a 7th generation Californian and was often referred to as a “Modern Cowboy” during our discussions. Kate family’s Greek and Italian culture had a great influence on her as does her love of literature. They met through their love of horses and riding together in the California outdoors is huge part of their relationship. This rancher and horse riding life lead the core inspiration behind the design, which you see not only in the overall vibe, but specifically in the paper goods, julep cups, horse shoes (which came from Kate and Brian’s own barn), vintage trophy. Kate’s heritage was represented in the olive branches, pops of colorful flowers by Huckleberry Karen Designs and delicious menu by Culinary Eye Catering. Not to mention the table names that were drawn from quotes by her favorite authors. The outdoor setting at the gorgeous Thomas Fogarty Winery, crisp white linens and farmhouse furnishings had a very whimsical and Californian vibe.
